Sara Bowen, who's blog, Double Elephant, I can accross while reading Art&etc, has an interesting piece about her use of the sketchbook. I used to maintain a loose collection of paper and books that served as sketchbooks, until, like Sara, while taking an MA in Visual Communication, I found a more formal need for a visual journal in which to recored my practice.
I continue to resolve issues, keep notes and journal entries in the form of a sketchbook, but while continuing in a full time job that isn't my lettering practice, maintaining the journal can be too often put off.
I'm hoping that Sara's example will spur me on.
Encore un p'tit tour dans ma boîte à lettres
